FAQs

  • Try to arrive 10 mins prior to your class time.

Savasana is an important part of a yoga class. If you arrive early and there is a class finishing up, please wait outside if its nice and allow the yogis to experience their savasana in peace.

  • Thinking you have to be flexible to do yoga is a myth. Yoga was actually created to help you gain more flexibility, which loosens tight muscles and prevents injury.  Yoga is not about bending and contorting yourself into difficult poses – it is simply a process for you to explore and get to know yourself. The quality of your practice doesn’t depend on whether you can touch your toes, but how much you are able to tune into yourself.

Consistent practice and the heat combo will have you feeling stretchy in due time. Practice with patience and grace for the moment you’re in, with consistent practice you will notice increased flexibility over time.

  • Some classes are heated, others are not.  The Class Description (on Bookee!) specify the heat for that class. Many people are worried about the heat before they try it!  You can set your mat up on the far side of the room, not under a heater to ease into the benefits of heated yoga.

  • Good for you for wanting to add yoga to your life!  We have options just for you!

  • Wear comfortable active clothing.

Bring a water bottle and sweat towel and a good attitude (or not, and yoga will change your attitude)

  • In vinyasa yoga, the body moves in sync with the breath, creating fluid and smooth movements, so it's also known as “flow” yoga. At SOZO, we call it Power Flow!
